Statement Of Faith

We as a church believe the following:

The inspiration of the Bible and its authority in all matters of faith and practice.

The fullness of deity and humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The atonement made on the Cross by our Lord for the sin of the world. The bodily resurrection of Christ,His ascension into heaven and His promised second coming to earth.

Salvation, by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

The indwelling presence and work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer and the church, empowering and imparting spiritual gifts.

Membership of the church being for those who have received salvation.

Vision Statement

We worship the living God endeavouring to openly demonstrate the Biblical lifestyle Jesus Christ set down for us. In worship, in relationship in instruction and in mission.

Jesus sets for us the example of a truly worshipful lifestyle glorifying God by living out His love for the Father with His life of obedience, His spirituality, His conversation and His work.

Jesus shows us how to relate to others, unconditionally putting others before Himself and offering a healing relationship of trust, encouragement, acceptance and forgiveness.

Jesus meets us where we are at, giving hope, both challenging and empowering us by His Holy Spirit, to become more like Him.

Jesus calls us to be light shining in the darkness of our world beginning with our own families and community and reaching far beyond.

As He is so we desire to be.

This vision statement came about following a study of Acts 2:42-47. That passage describes the early church which was characterised by its worship, relationship, discipleship and mission just as we desire to be characterised by Christ-like worship of God, relationship to others, discipleship of others and mission in the world.
